Ego Stroking! (Mine and 15 Lucky Nominees)

I took the weekend off from the internet. Mike Honcho was home after a long week of traveling and I didn’t even check my emails. So I was excited and surprised when I saw that I had been nominated for The Versatile Blogger Award by Down to Business Mom as well as by Britchin’ in the Kitchen.

I love reading articles that Down to Business Mom posts…they are always useful and relevant to life as a mom who is busy Mommin’ and working full time. Can you say Superwoman!?

As for Britchin’ in the Kitchen? Oh how I LOVE her! She is tender, she is witty, she is heartfelt, she is sarcastic and it’s awesome. I always am excited to get a notification that she has graced the world with, as she put it, the thoughts that fall, kicking and screaming from her head.

Subscribe to both blogs! Do it! That’s an order!

Okay, now the premise of this award is to encourage networking through a Get-to-Know-You platform. I’ll unload seven fascinating facts about myself, then nominate 15 other bloggers that I have found to be particularly interesting.

Facts:

  1. I am scared of reaching into the oven. I don’t know why. It’s just so…hot.
  2. In the last eight years, I have moved eleven times. In the 20 years before that, I remember that I moved once and that was before kindergarten.
  3. Much to Mike Honcho’s disgruntlement, I am unabashedly addicted to horses. Even the stupid ones. I can’t help it.
  4. There are a handful of movies that I could watch over and over again: The Proposal, Dances With Wolves, Hot Pursuit, The Greatest Showman, Talladega Nights, Tombstone, and the Disney animated Robin Hood. Also any old John Wayne if I desperately need to fall asleep.
  5. My footwear of choice are my cowboy boots.
  6. My favorite food is… good food.  “My mother liked good food. She always used to say, “I’d rather eat good food, than bad food any old day of the week.”  Super-duper, double-triple points if you know what movie that is from!
  7. I am working on achieving my Bachelors degree and gaining a certification as a life coach.

Now that you know all the things you never wanted to know about me, here are my blog nominations (I feel so powerful!) My apologies if I end up doubling a nomination for any blogs!
