Ask…Why Not?

Remember when you were a little kid, with lofty dreams and aspirations for your life? Perhaps they’ve come true, perhaps they haven’t.

Regardless, if you are alive and breathing you still have the chance to do anything you want. It sounds so trite, but its the truth. It doesn’t even have to be on a grand scale. Perhaps you want to change the way you treat your children, your co-worker or simply the words you tell yourself when you look in the mirror. You are capable of anything, if only you ask…

“There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why…I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?”

Robert F. Kennedy

I was thinking about that, watching the Olympics. The only difference between those people and me is that they decided their sport was their #1 priority and were willing to sacrifice a lot to become the best. But I bet if those people look at your life, they’d find things that they want but don’t have. You have them because they were your priority. It could be simple as an amazing best friend or beautifully decorated apartment. I think we just need to know what’s important to us. Great post.

What an insightful comment. I apologize that it took this long to respond. It was marked as spam! Finding what those important things are…and then committing to them is key. Thank you for commenting and reading. I appreciate it!

If you have an answer to the question ‘Why not’ you can always find a solution for that too 🙂
