There is this Canadian television show that I love called Corner Gas. I own the box set, and watch it in its entirety once a year. I will never be able to properly express my gratitude to my Canadian college roommate who introduced me to Corner Gas. As a matter of fact, you can go watch it right now on Amazon Prime. DO IT HERE.

The nice people of Dog River are like family to me. They’ve kept me company on many long nights outside LA when Mike Honcho was away on business, and the search helicopters hummed a deafening symphony above my lonely head.

Anyway, there is an opening part of an episode where Brent makes a hilarious joke about the internet being another fad that will hardly last a week. It makes me laugh every time. How preposterous!

Perhaps I can be savvy enough to find the episode, make a clip of it, transfer it successfully here, and then make the link work so you can laugh too. Hahaha! Laughing already, hmmm? You knew as well as I did what a good joke I just told.

Here’s my point: Brent was wrong.

The internet is life.

I haven’t had regular, dependable internet or a consistently working computer (*expletive you HP!) for several months now and my dear infant blog has suffered. However, now I have a slick little keyboard for my iPad, a great internet connection and a brain brimming with things to say. So I’m swaddling my blog baby up and I’m rocking it, feeding it through the wee hours of the night, and pinching its chubby little cheeks every chance I get.

You all better coo and tell me how precious it (still) is!
